Look at their chart. The news are only circulating on "those who know" side. At the time of writing this comment and many hours after the raid, they are even in green. 1.4 million entered through Binance only, huge deposits are made RIGHT NOW. There is much more going on with these scammers.

The other interesting issue with Nexo is that up until very recently a lot of Crypto sites were still carrying Nexo advertising, so-called mainstream newsletters included. Nothing like just take the money and who cares about where it comes from.

This is because crypto ads can be served programmatically via display ads. This might not be a direct buy with the website. I’d point to Google etc that serve/host these ads if assigning blame

Yes, I agree, and you are correct. I had thought about that aspect after I wrote the comment. Ad servers basically serve what works on the moment, and the site displaying has little or no control over what gets shown. Although, interestingly, the Nexo adds now seem to have disappeared, at least from the sites and newsletters I access. Thanks.

Most likely scenario is they paused ad spend, which can be done with a quick click in the ad platform. Nexo might have foreseen the police action, or just befallen the fate of many other crypto companies seeing less inbound traffic and having ad budget reduced to zero. Probably a mix of both.

This is great reporting. Thank you! The mainstream media can’t keep up with the continuing collapse. I am surprised anyone is hanging onto any crypto. It reminds me of the investors who refused to believe Enron was a mark-to-market scam and held onto their Enron stock all the way to bankruptcy. Crypto is not a currency and there is no there there. Crypto built a pretend financial services industry based on the mirage of a currency that has no inherent value.

More and more, these shenanigans sound like schemes cooked up in schoolyards by budding crooks angling to scam their gullible classmates, right down to their grubby paws and cackles.
